Donna is a partner in our audit and accounting services
group and is the practice leader of the firm’s employee benefit plan (EBP) audit
services group. As practice leader, Donna’s widespread expertise in this area
has enabled ParenteBeard to expand this practice and become a national leader in
the field. In addition to being responsible for practice quality, Donna is also
responsible for marketing, business development and directing team members’
education and training on employee benefit plans. Her leadership has provided a
significant contribution to the employee benefit plan practice to become one of
the fastest growing service lines within the firm’s assurance
practice.
Donna’s unique experience enables her to provide audit, accounting
and regulatory advice and attest services to our large public and privately held
EBP clients. She has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing
and tax services with employee benefit plans. Her areas of expertise include the
Securities and Exchange Commission 11K filings, employee stock ownership,
defined contribution, defined benefit and health and welfare plan
auditing.
Donna is responsible for both internal and external education
regarding this practice line. She has conducted numerous seminars and is a
frequent guest speaker, addressing peers and colleagues on various topics,
including the Department of Labor regulations, implications of new accounting
and auditing pronouncements and 403(b) plans to name a few. She has authored
several articles, including “Working Through Benefit-Responsive Investment
Contract Guidelines,” which was published in both the Pennsylvania CPA Journal
and SumNews, the newsletter of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public
Accountants.
Donna is a graduate of LEAP (Leadership, Entrepreneurism and
Achievement at ParenteBeard), a three year program to develop leaders who
embrace our values and principles. The program helps our professionals formulate
effective management and business development attributes, enhance their
leadership capabilities and engage in continuous development.
In 2012, Donna
was a Women of Distinction award recipient from the Philadelphia Business
Journal.
