Ciro
Poppiti III was elected Register of Wills for New Castle, Delaware in
November 2010. He was born and raised in New Castle County and is a graduate of
Salesianum School, Princeton University and
Widener Law School.
He is a member of Delaware Bar and before becoming
Register, practiced in the area of estate law. In addition, Ciro serves as a
Judge Advocate with the Delaware Army National Guard.
In 2007, Ciro was
recognized for being a civic activist and received the Wilmington Award from
Mayor Baker for outstanding community service. He is active in the
Italian-American community and was the founding chairman of the Delaware
Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture.
Ciro was awarded the 2015
Government Service Award by the Delaware Bar
Association.
