Hosted by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee: Hear from firm leaders and diverse professionals on ways to recruit, engage, and promote diverse talent. The panelists will work through questions like:

  • Where can firms find and begin the recruiting discussion with these professionals or aspiring professionals?
  • What is talent looking for in a prospective employer?
  • What does an inclusive and equitable culture look like?
  • How can a firm leader evolve firm practices to ensure diverse voices are heard and encouraged?

Areas of Specialization
Kristin is responsible for ensuring that Kreischer Miller is well positioned as the employer of choice in the Philadelphia area. She offers an invaluable blend of recruiting and public accounting experience, combined with a natural ability to bring people together. Her primary focus is developing relationships with experienced audit and tax professionals for potential positions within the firm. She utilizes her expertise to assess applicants’ skills in order to identify the best possible candidates for the firm, and to advise the firm of hiring trends. She also maintains relationships with several top colleges and universities to identify and hire talented students for internships and full time positions. Kristin maintains her CPA license and has an infectious enthusiasm for Kreischer Miller and for recruiting candidates to work for Kreischer Miller. 
Kristin passionately serves as the Chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, whose mission is to foster a workplace culture of belonging and create awareness so the firm is welcoming and inclusive of all cultures and backgrounds.     She has a demonstrated history of ensuring that all recruitment strategies target hiring the best talent while promulgating diversity strategies.  
Background
Kristin joined Kreischer Miller in 2007. Under Kristin’s tenure, she has created the firm’s summer leadership program, Freshmen & Sophomore Open House, firm social media sites and Careers blog. She has created the new hire scavenger hunt and expanded our internship program via more strategic timing and better utilization of students. Our internship programs now include audit & tax (client service), firm billing, human resources, and internal technology (internal operations functions). In addition to Kristin’s recruiting responsibilities, Kristin serves as a mentor to young professionals both internally and externally. 

Prior to working for Kreischer Miller, Kristin was Senior Director at The Preston Group in Ft. Washington, PA, where her responsibilities included marketing the company’s services to companies throughout the Delaware and Lehigh Valley areas, as well as recruiting top financial talent for clients. She was an integral part of growing the business during her time there. Kristin also worked as a Supervising Senior at KPMG in Philadelphia, PA, where she provided audit services for manufacturing, distribution, retail, and high technology clients. 
Kristin is actively involved in the PICPA, having served on numerous committees over the last twenty years and is a recent recipient of their 2020 Women to Watch award.  She is actively involved with Covenant House Philadelphia, leading many philanthropic initiatives both with Kreischer Miller and personally, in addition to serving on their Women’s Leadership Network committee

Mitika Khera

Transfer Pricing

Mitika Khera is a Director in PwC’s Transfer Pricing Group in Philadelphia.  She has over 12 years of experience in Transfer Pricing and supports clients with various aspects of transfer pricing including, value chain transformations, compliance, business restructuring and audit defense work.
Her portfolio includes clients in many industries including technology, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, paints and coatings, technology, consumer products, industrial products, and retail. 
She also leads the Women’s Inclusion Network and the Pan-Asian Inclusion Network in the Philadelphia office for PwC and is a board member at the ASCEND Greater Philadelphia Chapter.
She holds a MBA Degree in International Business, and a Masters in Marketing from Temple University, Fox School of Business.
