Financial Literacy Programs

Elementary and High School Students

Invest in Reading

This program has PICPA members visiting 2nd and 3rd graders all over the state to read a financial literacy themed book and teach them great money basics. If you would like to see this program at your school, you can use flyer to introduce the details.

All PICPA Invest in Reading volunteers receive:

  • The grade-appropriate book for your class – this book will be donated to the school
  • A script to use during the program
  • Activity materials (if time is permitted during your school visit)

Girl Scout Programs

A fan favorite, over the years this initiative has seen PICPA members visit Girl Scout troops all over the state teaching money management and financial literacy basics in a fun, friendly way. Consider sharing information about this free, 90-minute program with any troop leaders you know.

All PICPA Girl Scout volunteers receive:

  • A script for the program
  • Workbooks for the scouts
  • Ceramic piggy banks to paint
As an added bonus, all Girl Scouts who participate in the appropriate troop-level program are eligible to receive a financial literacy badge.
