Financial Literacy Programs

Elementary and High School Students

Invest in Reading

This program has PICPA members visiting 2nd and 3rd graders all over the state to read a financial literacy themed book and teach them great money basics. If you would like to see this program at your school, you can use this A flyer to introduce the details.

All PICPA Invest in Reading volunteers receive:

  • The grade-appropriate book for your class – this book will be donated to the school
  • A script to use during the program
  • Activity materials (if time is permitted during your school visit)

Girl Scout Programs

A fan favorite, over the years this initiative has seen PICPA members visit Girl Scout troops all over the state teaching money management and financial literacy basics in a fun, friendly way. Consider sharing information about this free, 90-minute program with any troop leaders you know.

All PICPA Girl Scout volunteers receive:

  • A script for the program
  • Workbooks for the scouts
  • Ceramic piggy banks to paint
As an added bonus, all Girl Scouts who participate in the appropriate troop-level program are eligible to receive a financial literacy badge.
