Grant Thornton Volunteers from ACHIEVEability to Voorhees Animal Orphanage


More than 150 employees of Grant Thornton volunteered at eight organizations across the greater Philadelphia area as part of the firm’s Community Service Day on Oct. 20. Members completed the following tasks at a variety of organizations:

  • ACHIEVEability – cleaned and painted floors and stairwells, and made minor repairs to affordable housing facilities.
  • Career Wardrobe – sorted and organized professional clothing donations for those in need for job interviews.
  • Cradles to Crayons – sorted and repackaged donations for distribution to children in need.
  • Philabundance – sorted and boxed food for reshipment to the needy in the Delaware Valley.
  • Share – sorted and repackaged food donations for distribution to the needy.
  • Saint John’s Hospice – served lunch to about 150 men at the is Catholic Social Services shelter.
  • Ronald McDonald House – prepared meals for sick children and their families.
  • Voorhees Animal Orphanage – cleaned the cages, tidied the orphanage, and spent time with the animals.
