We Need Your Story: Help Us Inspire Accounting Students
The Pennsylvania CPA Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the accounting pipeline. Now is your chance to leave your mark by sharing your passion and giving students a glimpse of what life as an accountant looks like.

Back-to-school season is upon us, and thousands of high school students are sitting in class this fall wondering what their future might look like. They’re preparing for exams, visiting colleges, and weighing which major and career path might be right for them. We need your help to inspire them to consider a future in accounting!
The Pennsylvania CPA Foundation is once again partnering with the AICPA and our fellow state societies for the national Accounting Opportunities Experience this fall. The month-long initiative offers high schools across the state an opportunity to host PICPA members in their classrooms for an interactive and fun presentation. In 2023, 35 PICPA members presented at 32 schools, engaging more than 1,000 students. This year, we want to extend our reach even further, but we need your help.
The work of the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the accounting pipeline. Now is your chance to leave your mark because this outreach effort is a great way to share your passion. You can give students a glimpse of what life as an accountant looks like and positively influence their career planning.
Our new online sign-up makes it easy to get involved. Search the available speaking requests, choose something convenient for you, and work directly with the teacher to arrange your speaking engagement. We will provide a presentation and giveaways to help you better connect with the students. More speaking opportunities will be added weekly, so check back or sign up as a volunteer and we will contact you with future requests.
Not able to speak but still want to help? Consider making a donation to the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation to support programs like these. Your generosity helps fund resources, outreach, and scholarships for students pursuing a career in accounting. Together, we can ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to the tools they need to succeed in this highly valued profession.
