Lisa is Vice President – Firm Services for the AICPA. She leads the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS), Firm Relationship Management, Small Firms, Diversity & Inclusion, Young Member Initiatives, Technical Hotline and Center for Plain English Accounting. Her teams build and manage firm relationships with all size firms, promoting awareness and value, including advocating for CPA firm success and ongoing relationships with public accounting influencers. Her teams create innovative programs and engagement strategies to engage a diverse pipeline of current and future CPAs

Since 2020 Lisa has been working closely with the AICPA PCPS and CPA.com in efforts to develop resources that assist CPA firms and their clients with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and other business relief programs.  She has presented to thousands of CPAs and business owners through the AICPA’s Town Hall Series. She was named in the top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today in 2020.

Lisa began her career with EY gaining audit and tax experience in her six years with the firm. She then worked for a small firm in Lexington, Kentucky for five years. Lisa has 20+ years of industry experience as well, having served as the CFO for non-profit and for-profit organizations before joining the AICPA in 2012.

Lisa graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and is licensed as a CPA in NC and KY.

DANIEL J. NOLL, CPA

Dan Noll, CPA, is Senior Director of Accounting Standards at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Dan’s primary responsibilities include working with the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC, formerly known as AcSEC) in arriving at AICPA positions on financial reporting matters, and in providing external financial reporting guidance.  In addition, Dan leads the AICPA’s efforts related to private company financial reporting.

Dan works with numerous organizations, committees, expert panels, and task forces that focus on improving financial reporting and ensuring that accounting professionals have the requisite tools needed to best serve the public interest.

Dan has a B.B.A. in Public Accounting from Baruch College and was an evening adjunct professor at that institution for four years.  Before joining the AICPA, Dan was with PricewaterhouseCooper's (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) New York and National Offices.

Cari Weston, MST, CPA, CGMA

Based in the D.C. area, Weston is an accomplished and committed executive with extensive experience in organizational administration, change management, governance, program development, staff engagement, and strategic planning. She has more than 30 years of experience and service within the accounting profession.
Weston’s strong professional background includes working for public accounting in firms ranging from a single owner of a boutique tax practice to the Big Four (Big Six at the time). In addition to her days in practice, she was previously the Director of Tax Practice & Ethics for the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) where her mission was to create innovative learning, tools, and resources for members to help them elevate their practices.
As an eager student of the accounting profession, Cari scrutinizes trends and emerging technology, applying her findings to her extensive experience. The result is innovative solutions that help strategically position the profession. Weston has proven success serving as an innovative thought leader and has been hailed as a CPA who helps organizations thrive, focusing on people first.

She is a frequent writer and speaker on tax, ethics, leadership, practice management, technology, and the future of the accounting profession.

She has been named to the “100 Must-Follow Tax Twitter Feeds” list by Forbes for 2015, 2017, and 2021 as well as to the “Tax Professionals to Follow on Social Media” list for 2021 from Bloomberg Tax. Additionally, she was most recently named to the “Top 10 Influential Women in Accounting and Tax" from Canopy. She is a sought-after industry expert, having been quoted in many news sources including: The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, CNBC, Chicago Tribune, and Time Magazine, and can also be found actively engaging on Twitter and LinkedIn posting about profession-related issues.

She received her BS in Accountancy and MS in Taxation from the William P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
