Rethinking Diversity

Let's have an upside-down diversity discussion. Rather than focus on best practices for recruiting and maintaining diverse talent, let's work backward. We'll start by imagining a company that is vibrant, modern, savvy, and growing. What does it look like? What are the company's values? Then, we'll explore the attributes of people who would want to be owners, clients, and employees. As demographic shifts drive new and different client and employee expectations, firms must evolve into holistic workplaces that embrace those changes. Perhaps the best D&I strategy is as simple as redefining you firm’s culture in these terms. The result might be a clearer sense of who you are as an organization and what strategies you need to find, hire, and retain the talent that reflects the diversity of the communities where we work and the clients we serve.

Rethinking Diversity

Our first live session of the afternoon is all about rethinking diversity with Jina Etienne, CPA, former president of NABA Inc.

You’ll get an introduction to the "B Corp" movement, people using business as a force for good, as well as how companies and others can aim to actually measure and manage their performance on these nonfinancial topics through the B Impact Assessment.
