Reading Chapter Serves Meals at New Journey

Several members of PICPA’s Reading Chapter served meals for New Journey Community Outreach (NJCO) in Reading, Pa., on Jan. 8, 2019. NJCO provides a daily soup kitchen, weekly food, and clothing to people in need in the Reading area. Additionally, chapter members continued collecting hats and socks for the needy and have several bundles to drop off at Reading-area shelters during January 2019. View more >

UPDATE: Sock Drive Wrap-up

During the 2018 holiday season and the fist few weeks of January 2019, the chapter collected more than 1,000 items, which included pairs of socks, hats, gloves, and scarves. The following Reading-area organizations helped contribute:

PICPA & GRCA Berks County Commissioners Update Breakfast

Reading Chapter members met with members of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance for a networking breakfast at the Berks County Agricultural Alliance on Jan. 11. Commissioners Christian Leinbach, Kevin Barnhardt, and Mark Scott gave comprehensive Berks County updates. Peter Calcara, PICPA vice president of government relations, also provided insights on current tax issues and regulations.  View more >
