Mark is the practice leader of the firm’s senior living services practice. He has 23 years experience in public accounting and has concentrated his efforts in ParenteBeard’s senior living services practice during the last 17 years. Mark serves clients in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. He is responsible for the audits of several senior living clients, with a concentration in continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and subsidized housing projects for the elderly. He is also responsible for a variety of additional services provided to our senior living clients, including financial forecasts and feasibility studies, market research, and strategic planning. Mark has spoken before several professional and educational groups on various issues related to the senior living industry and accounting issues that affect senior living providers. Mark is a member of the AICPA Healthcare Expert Panel and the CARF-CCAC Financial Advisory Panel. He is also a graduate of ParenteBeard’s internal leadership development program, Leadership, Entrepreneurism and Achievement at ParenteBeard.

Debra Bowes, partner in the healthcare group, has been with the firm since 1995. She specializes in serving the financial needs of healthcare clients with a particular focus on hospital and health systems. Deb has experience with numerous types of financial and compliance audits, including single audits. Deb was recently recognized by Pennsylvania Business Central as one of the Top 100 People in Business. She currently serves as the Hospital and Health System Sector Leader for the firm’s healthcare practice.
