The PICPA’s State Taxation Committee meets annually with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue to bring clarity to complex regulations affecting practitioners and their clients. The committee develops the questions and submits them in advance so the DOR can provide researched discussion and written responses . Jeff Spengler is a partner in the tax services group of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. He specializes in serving midmarket and closely held companies within several industries including construction, manufacturing, and distribution as well as not-for-profit companies. Jeff has provided both federal and state tax planning and structuring advice for midmarket corporations, partnerships as well as individuals. He is currently serves the Vice President for the PICPA and has been active in serval PICPA committees including the state tax committee (chair), and the local tax committee of the Pittsburgh chapter for over 15 years.
