Martin C. Levin began his accounting career in private industry in
1976. In 1987, he joined the audit staff in the Philadelphia office of
Coopers & Lybrand. Martin relocated to the Lehigh Valley and in 1995, he
founded the Allentown based firm Levin, Savchak & Associates, P.C. which has
since merged to form Regan Levin Bloss Brown & Savchak, P.C. (“RLB
Accountants”) where he serves as the firm’s managing director and supervises the
Firm’s audit, accounting business valuation and forensics practice groups.
Martin’s accounting and auditing includes working with clients in various
industries including general and specialty contractors, technology firms,
wholesale distribution companies, auto dealerships, manufacturing enterprises,
professional services firms, mortgage brokerage firms and real estate management
companies. In addition, he provides management consulting services to clients
including business valuation, forensic accounting, bankruptcy accounting and
expert witness testimony.
Martin is
a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”), the
Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“PICPA”) and the Florida Institute of
Certified Public Accountants as well as the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Martin currently serves on the AICPA Professional Ethics Enforcement Committee and is the president-elect
of the PICPA. He has previously served on several prominent committees including a
three (3) year term on the Accounting and Review Services Committee
of the AICPA, the senior standard setting body responsible for developing the
rules for unaudited financial statements issued in the United States. He is a
past president of the PICPA - Lehigh Valley Chapter, has
served on the Lehigh Valley PICPA Executive Committee and the
PICPA State Council. He also served as PICPA President for the 2019-20
year.
In 2008, Martin was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell to serve on the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy, where he served for 8
years under 3 governors including his role as chairman of the state licensing
board for the two year period 2014-2015. Martin is a certified valuation analyst
and is a member in good standing of the National Association of Certified
Valuators and Analysts. He has served as an adjunct professor of accounting at
DeSales University, Kutztown State University and Muhlenberg College. Martin is
a member of the DeSales University President’s Council, Treasurer of the Carson
Kaye Foundation and serves on various fundraising committees for nonprofit
organizations. Martin has been a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and
universities throughout Pennsylvania.
Martin is a summa cum laude graduate of Rowan University with a B.S. in
Accounting and earned a Master’s Degree in Finance from DeSales University. He
holds licenses to practice as a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Florida. Martin
and his wife reside in the Lehigh Valley.
