Edward Jenkins
Managing Member
Edward R. Jenkins, CPA, CGMA, is a seasoned business
executive and educator with an extensive educational background in business. He
currently serves the students of Penn State as a professor of practice in
accounting at The Pennsylvania State University and he provides tax consulting
and compliance services at Jenkins & Co., LLC in Lemont, Pa.
His combination of experience and education provides a
high degree of practiced realism in Mr. Jenkins’ writing and teaching. He has an
extensive body of unpublished research and technical writing for publicly held
and private businesses. He has published numerous print and online articles on
tax, accounting, and business topics. He has been quoted in CCH Federal Tax
Weekly and USA Today.
Mr. Jenkins is the former chair of the Editorial Board of
a quarterly professional journal, published by the Pennsylvania Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) entitled The CPA Journal. He also
serves on the PICPA Federal Tax Thought Leadership Committee. Mr. Jenkins also
served as a member of the PICPA Board of Directors.
He is a member of the AICPA Council; the governing body of
the AICPA. He is also a member of the AICPA Tax Executive Committee. His service
to the profession includes AICPA Tax and PFP Division membership and
participation in committees and task forces. He has testified before the PA
Stimulus Oversight Commission. Mr. Jenkins has recorded several television shows
with state legislators on tax and personal financial planning topics.
