Advertising Policies

Alterations to Advertising Copy and Art

Any alterations to advertising copy and artwork are the sole responsibility of the advertiser.

Rate Increases

Contract advertisers will be protected from rate increases for the duration of the written contract.

Restrictions

The publisher will not publish advertising from companies whose programs, products, or services compete with those offered by the PICPA to its members. This includes continuing professional education programs, insurance products, and special association or group discount plans.

Legal Liability

Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content (text, illustrations, and representation) of printed advertisement, and also assume responsibility for any claims arising thereafter made against the publisher.

Advertising Procedures

Reserving Space

New advertisers must reserve space for their first placement, in writing, and return a completed advertising agreement by the space reservation date (see editorial calendar). Thereafter, advertisers must submit a written insertion order for each placement specifying that either existing artwork should be reused or that new artwork will be supplied.

Payment

New advertisers must pay in advance for the first placement of their advertisements to establish credit. Advertisers shall make payment for the advertising within 30 days of presentation of a bill.

Artwork

Advertisers must supply an electronic file for advertisements by the material's due date (see editorial calendar). E-mail is the preferred sending method.
