By Maureen Renzi, vice president – communications
As PICPA’s year comes to a close, the Communications Team is beginning to gather and review some of its performance metrics. Many are very positive (of course), especially those gauging our CPA Conversations podcasts. Podcasts continue to be a robust communications tool for the PICPA. This year we experienced 62 percent growth. Impressive, yes; but I’m not satisfied. The previous two years our growth was 100 percent year-over-year. I would love to see us get closer to the 100 percent mark in the next three weeks. In raw numbers, this means that we would need about 4,000 downloads by April 30. That would bring our total to 70,000.
Want to help me reach this goal?
First, if you’re not sure what podcasts are, I provided a brief summary in a previous blog. Basically, it’s like having your own personal radio show of interviews and stories of things that interest you. Our podcasts are CPA-centric, which means they cover every topic of interest in the business world. We cover taxes, accounting, regulations, corporate finance, technology, personal development, and more. Below are the top 10 blogs that we posted between May 1, 2018, and April 8, 2019.
Now, isn’t that some good information? You can find even more podcasts (and transcripts) on our website. We produce at least one podcast a week, and I encourage you to subscribe to our podcasts via your preferred app and stay in tune with what is happening in the profession.
