On Sept. 16, nearly 100 PICPA members gathered in Harrisburg for PICPA’s inaugural Advocacy Day. This exclusive event was designed to deepen members’ understanding of Pennsylvania’s policymaking environment and highlight the many ways that the PICPA advocates for the CPA profession.
The 129th Annual Meeting & Celebration brought together a record number of registrants in Bedford, PA for two days of innovation and celebration. Attendees explored emerging topics shaping the accounting profession while celebrating milestone members and reflecting on the organization's successes from the past year.
The "state of the union" information regarding the PICPA and the industry as a whole was very interesting. The emphasis on the soft skills important for success was very telling, and the exercises were very enjoyable.
This event has given me a different perspective on the field of accounting, and its room for growth as a career.
