Features are 2,500 words and cover current events, news within the profession, and special-interest topics. Features appear in each issue to provide in-depth coverage of hot topics and developing issues. Recent topics include building a strong accounting profession through diversity, equity, and inclusion and data visualization and compliance monitoring.
One-to-two page columns address specific topic areas, some of which appear in every issue while others appear on a rotating basis. Typically, columns run about 900 words. Eleven to 13 columns appear in each issue, providing a brief discussion on specific topic areas.
We do accept unsolicited articles. However, when articles are sent directly to the PICPA, they are forwarded to the appropriate coordinator. Coordinators will contact authors if they are interested in using the article. There is no guarantee as to when or if the article will be published.
