Based on current trends in the profession, this committee will identify 3-4
areas to focus on to help meet the goals of the PA CPA Foundation mission of
pipeline initiatives. Individuals on the committee will lead projects that will
address these trends.
The purpose of the state-wide Schools and Colleges Committee will be to
continue to enhance existing and build new relationships with high schools,
colleges, and universities; promote the accounting career track and the CPA
credential; recruit PICPA Student Affiliates; and promote accounting
scholarships. The goal of the committee remains to attract the best and the
brightest individuals to the CPA profession and PICPA membership; encourage
attainment of the CPA designation; and retain their personal commitment to the
accounting profession throughout their career by communicating the value of
participation in the profession.
