- 1,000 attendees at in-person events
- 66,000 visits to the Future CPAs section of the website
- 3,300+total student members
- $186,00+ awarded in scholarships
- 1,000+ individual donors, 18 major donors, 31 corporate sponsors
- $280,000 raised!
Current State of the Pipeline in Pennsylvania
- Population trends showing fewer new candidates in target age brackets
- National and statewide enrollments are down
- Number of candidates passing the CPA Exam trending down
- More nonaccounting degree graduates being hired into accounting/finance functions at firms
- More work to be done to move the needle on diversity in new hires
Ways You and Your Firm/Company Can Positively Impact the Pipeline
Get into high schools and colleges consistently through programs such as Accounting Career Days & other in person/virtual opportunities to connect with students.
Support CPA candidates by offering incentives such as bonuses, cohorts, mentors, paid study materials and time, etc.
Recruit differently, including HBCUs and MSIs programs.
Create meaningful engagement with university advisory boards.
Update your talking points to highlight accounting as a dynamic & tech driven field with immense community impact
