2020 Thought Leadership Town Halls – Watch Now

The PICPA has been hosting a monthly town hall series featuring top thought leaders from the profession and the business community. In case you’ve missed any of them, I wanted to highlight the critical areas covered during these programs. If you’re interested in this great content, recordings of each have been posted online for noncredit viewing.

September – Delivering Confidence in Historic Times

Barry MelanconBarry Melancon, AICPA CEO, provided a professional issues update covering everything from how the pandemic has affected the profession to ongoing talent and pipeline issues.

October – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

David Kessler, CohnResnick CEO, and Risa Levine, chief of staff, shared what their firm is doing to create a diverse and inclusive firm. They provided personal narratives, strategies, and practical tips on how firms of all sizes can address this important topic.

November – Economic Update with Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia

Patrick Harker, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia president, and Ryo Tishiro, regional economic advisor, discussed the economic impact of the pandemic on businesses, consumer behaviors, and what we can expect in the short term as well as a longer-term outlook.

December – Beyond the Pandemic and After the Elections

With his usual humor and energy, Gene shared the key metrics all busines leaders should be looking at and following, the new administration policies, where the economic downturn has created opportunities, and what to expect as we move into 2021.
