Come Out and Make Meaningful Connections at PICPA’s Cross-Professions Nights

Emily HopkinsBy Emily Hopkins, PICPA manager, programs for professionals

While many suppose being a CPA is a “numbers” profession, in reality it is a people-driven occupation. CPAs must meet and make connections with potential clients and peers to remain connected, relevant, and valuable. Establishing professional contacts is still highly prized by CPAs, even if the days when people attended a networking happy hour every other day are long gone.

We are proud to introduce the all new Cross-Professions Networking Nights, hosted by the PICPA and its Professional Alliances Thought Leadership Committee. This mega networking event provides an opportunity not only to meet other CPAs but also to engage with other professionals in your region.

Two professionals chatting at relaxed networking eventJoin over 20 participating partner organizations – including attorneys, financial professionals, and other business leaders – to make lasting connections, create synergies, and foster innovative discussions. This event was created to provide members with the most “bang for their buck” when meeting with other professionals. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the open bar!

Your connections could take any form: create business and collaboration opportunities, share strategies and experiences with others in your line of work, or simply build your professional network. It's niche networking with a purpose.

Attendees will be a who’s who of all the professional partners a CPA can ask for:

  • Bankers
  • Lawyers
  • Financial Professionals
  • Chamber of Commerce Representatives
  • Insurance Professionals
  • Human Resources Professionals
  • Other Business Leaders

There will also be other CPAs and other accounting professionals. Take this opportunity to connect on a personal level and set the groundwork for future connections and networking by expanding your peer group.

No matter where in Pennsylvania you may reside, there will be an in-person opportunity within range. On the western side of the state, the Cross-Professions Networking Night will be held Jan. 5 at the Rivers Club in Pittsburgh. A week later, on Jan. 12, our second Cross-Professions event will be held at The Alloy in King of Prussia.

Do not miss this outstanding opportunity to kick off the new year by making the connections that could have a profound impact on your business in 2023.
